I have been working in the visual arts for the whole of my adult life.
I was given my first camera (a 110 film camera with a 10 shot disposable flash) when I was around 10 years old and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

For me, true magic happens where Art and Science meet and the wonder, as a child, at seeing the transformation between a button pressed and an image you could hold never went away. I was always one of those children that wanted to know the how of things; take it apart, put it back together. I found that the more you learned, the better the magic became and I’ve never wanted to lose that feeling.

It all comes down to connection. A photograph has a unique ability to look beyond the surface. It’s much more than the thousand words idiom, there is true emotion possible in every image and we are emotional animals.

Photography has given me the opportunity to meet and understand so many incredible people and allowed me the privilege of access to their world. Whether I’m making a portrait or a product shot, I’m responsible for telling a story and representing the personality behind the image, its a responsibility I take incredibly seriously, but there is always so much joy in the process.
