I got involved with the play Mona & Mimi wearing my graphic design hat. I’d been recommended to Writer/Producer Cat Leen to help her out with sorting out some poster art while the play was still in early development and seeking funding. We really hit it off and Cat sought out my other hats to help as the production moved forward.
During rehearsals, I made a trip up to Manchester where the cast were rehearsing in order to capture some stills to publicise the opening run at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool. I set up a studio in the corner of the rehearsal space and grabbed the cast members one by one in between sandwiches and asked them to channel their characters for a few stills, I also managed to get a quick shot of Cat as well.
We used the images on social posters and we built a composite image which was sent out to press.
While I was there we also filmed a short teaser promo to build up some last minute hype and sell the last of the tickets for the sold out run.
