The Llangollen/Llantysilio Chainbridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world. Since the 1980s it had fallen into disrepair.
Over the last couple of years a project has been underway to restore the bridge to it’s former glory. It reopened in May 2015.
Llangollen and LlantysiIio councils asked me to follow the progress of the project and delve into the bridge’s history.
